Yu is in her third season on staff and was promoted to her current role after spending the past two seasons as the program's director of women's basketball operations.

He puts others first and has a love for working with student-athletes and this community. We are grateful to have him on our staff and know he will continue to make our program better every day. ”
Yu coordinates and oversees all operational and administrative aspects within the program, including facilitating team, student-athlete, and travel arrangements, managing schedules, maintaining campus relations, and booster engagement, as well as staff in various other capacities. We support you. His primary responsibilities also include facility coordination, creating and managing the annual budget, supervising managers and student staff, and serving as a liaison with various athletic department officials.
“I am deeply grateful to Coach Purcell and the university authorities for giving me this opportunity,” Yu added. “I am honored to continue to serve and work with our student-athletes, program, and university in this expanded role. I am excited to build on the program's success and continue to support our staff in realizing our vision for the future. Starkville is a special community with so many great people I've gotten to know, and I'm lucky to call it home.”
Before attending Mississippi State, Yu held similar roles at Virginia, Wake Forest and Louisville.
