Bay League rivals Mira Costa and Redondo's women's beach volleyball teams could once again be headed to a CIF-SS final showdown.
That would be if both teams win the Division 1 semifinal game at Long Beach City College early Saturday.
Mira Costa defeated Santa Margarita 5-0 in Wednesday's quarterfinals and will face Huntington Beach in the semifinals of the top half of the bracket at 11:30 a.m.
In the bottom half of the bracket, Redondo swept Los Alamitos 5-0. The Seahawks will play Jaysera in the semifinals at 12:45 p.m.
Winners will meet at LBCC late Saturday afternoon.
Mira Costa defeated Redondo 5-0 at the inaugural CIF-SS Women's Beach Volleyball Championship last year. Mira Costa won both Bay League competitions this season, finishing the first game 5-0 and the second 3-2.
El Segundo and South Torrance were eliminated in the Division 2 quarterfinals on Wednesday. Oaks Christian dominated South (5-0) and Long Beach Wilson defeated El Segundo (4-1).
Following the team championship, the CIF-SS Individual Pairs Championship will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at Newland Court in Huntington Beach.
Palos Verdes' Molly and Mallory Labreche are the No. 1 pair in the Bay League, and Mira Costa's Taylor Deckert and Olga Nikolaeva are the No. 2 pair. Giselle and Savannah Lau of MiraCosta will be her alternates.
El Segundo's Macy Ludwig and Landin Leach are the Pioneer League's No. 1 pair, while Torrance's Kiana Greer and Natalia Morales are the No. 2 pair. South's Riley Owens and Sarah Schacht will be the alternate pair.

MiraCosta's boys and girls teams finished the regular season as Bay League champions.
On Thursday, the Mustang boys defeated Palos Verdes 8-4 to finish the regular season at 12-7 overall and 6-0 in the Bay League.
On the girls side, Mira Costa defeated Palos Verdes 12-8. The Mustangs finished the regular season with a record of 15-4 overall and 6-0 in the Bay League.
CIF-SS men's and women's lacrosse playoff brackets will be announced Saturday at 11 a.m.
