Tammy Jimenez becomes MC’s third head volleyball coach after serving as an assistant coach for the program for four years.
MIDLAND, Texas — Tammy Jimenez, who has served as Midland University's head volleyball coach since 2010, has announced her resignation.
In 2010, Jimenez became MC's third head volleyball coach after serving as an assistant coach for the Lady Chaps for four years.
Jimenez will be heading to Laredo, Texas, to take on the head volleyball coaching role at Texas A&M International University.
The university is said to be actively searching for a replacement for Jimenez.
Below is Midland University's press release regarding Jimenez's resignation.
“Midland University volleyball coach Tammy Jimenez has tendered her resignation to take the head coaching position at Texas A&M International University (NCAA II) in Laredo, Texas.”
Jimenez became Midland College's third head volleyball coach in 2010 after serving as an assistant coach with the program for four years.
Jimenez compiled a record of 220-151 (.593) during his 14 season tenure as head volleyball coach.
“Coach Jimenez continues the historic excellence of the Midland College Lady Chaps volleyball program. During her tenure as assistant coach and head coach (a total of 18 years), she has achieved much success and made significant contributions to the volleyball program, the MC athletic department and Midland College.”
