Honolulu – The No. 3 ranked University of Hawaii men’s volleyball team extended its winning streak to 12 with a straight-set victory over Sacred Heart Friday in the first of two non-conference matches played at Simplify Arena in the Stan Sheriff Center. extended to the match. Alakai Todd She led Hawaii with 10 kills and hit .412 with one ace and one block. Guilherme Voss He recorded 6 blocks and 5 kills, including 3 solos. Chaz Galloway Added 5 kills in 2 sets of actions.
As a team, the Warriors batted .345 with six aces and 10.5 blocks in this game.
The Pioneers (6-10) were led by Carlos Santa Cruz, who had 10 kills.

In set one, UH took a 9-5 lead after scoring four unanswered points. After the Warriors piled up four more points, the lead became six points at 16-10. Hawaii went on to win the set despite hitting .067 with seven kills and six errors.
Hawaii extended its lead to 11-6 in the second set. SHU's seventh attack error of the set gave them a 21-11 advantage. UH bounced back offensively, hitting .524 in the set.
The Pioneers held a 7-4 lead early in the third set after a 5-1 run. But the Warriors answered him with four straight, tred rosenthal Ace regains the lead. An 8-2 run made it 18-12, and the Pioneers never threatened.
The teams will play again on Sunday at 5 p.m.
