Providence, Rhode Island โ The Providence College men's hockey program released its full 2024-25 regular season schedule on Thursday, July 25. The Friars are scheduled to play 35 regular season games, including 11 matches against teams that participated in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
The non-conference schedule already announced includes the USA Hockey Hall of Fame Game in North Dakota (Oct. 12), two home series against Arizona State (Oct. 18-19) and home games against LIU (Nov. 23) and Colorado College (Dec. 6-7). The annual Mayor's Cup will be held at Brown on Jan. 7. The Friars will compete in two holiday tournaments: the Adirondack Winter Invitational in Lake Placid, N.Y., Nov. 29-30 (vs. St. Lawrence, Clarkson, UMass Lowell) and the Ledyard Classic in Hanover, N.H., Dec. 28-29 (vs. Alaska Anchorage, Northeastern, Dartmouth).
The Hockey East schedule includes three games against Northeastern (Nov. 8-9, March 8), Boston College (Nov. 19, Jan. 17-18), UMass Lowell (Jan. 24-25, Feb. 22) and Boston University (Feb. 14-15, March 6). The remaining Hockey East games are Vermont (Oct. 25-26), New Hampshire (Nov. 1-2), UMass (Nov. 14 and 16), UConn (Jan. 31-Feb. 1), Maine (Feb. 7-8) and Merrimack (Feb. 28-March 1).
