The Assistant Men's Basketball Coach reports to the Head Men's Basketball Coach and is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in carrying out all activities necessary to achieve the objectives of this sport within the guidelines. NCAA, Sunand university.

Main duties and responsibilities
- Instructs basketball student-athletes in basketball fundamentals, details, and strategies as assigned by the head coach.
- Assists head coach in developing individual game plans.
- Serves as the scouting coordinator for the men's basketball program and effectively organizes scouting activities for other teams.
- Comply with all University and Director of Athletics policies and regulations. Sunand NCAA.
- Assist the head coach in scheduling basketball games.
- Serves as community service coordinator/supervisor for the men's basketball program. Complete schedules and appearance requests across the community.
- Support basketball marketing and promotion.
- Advise student-athletes on sports participation, personal development, and academics.
- Work with the admissions office to register student-athletes.
- Serves as housing coordinator for the men's basketball program. Serves as a liaison to the Housing Office to ensure that student-athletes are properly secured housing and provides necessary information to the University Housing Office.
- Assists in monitoring student-athletes' academic progress.
- Assists with fundraising efforts in both basketball and athletic department major fundraisers in consultation with University Advancement and Athletic Directors.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
