We are looking for a passionate and experienced Masters Swim Coach to join our swim team. As a Masters Swim Coach, you will be responsible for designing and implementing swim training programs tailored to the needs and goals of adult swimmers. Inspires, motivates and mentors individuals of varying skill levels, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment conducive to personal growth and achievement.
This is currently a part-time position and the schedule is as follows: Practices are from 5:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Monday to Friday), and 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (Saturday), as well as practice preparation and team coordination. Masu. Outside of these hours. If a candidate is interested in additional management duties outside of the master team, the role can be transitioned to full-time.
About the Masters Swim Team:
Our club is a year-round team at USSMS that provides high-quality, professional coaching and technical instruction for all ages (18+) and abilities. We have a competitive group ranging from former Olympians and collegiate D1 swimmers to triathletes and fitness swimmers. Our “slow” lane repeats 100y with a 2:00 sendoff. Working out is always difficult, but we make it fun by embracing the challenge and supporting our teammates every step of the way. There's only one rule. Everyone strives to make the workout better for everyone else in the pool. Practice takes place at the world-renowned Juanita Aquatics Center on the campus of Juanita High School in Kirkland, Washington.
As a Masters Swimming Coach you will:
- Leadership: Utilizes strong leadership qualities with the ability to coach and motivate swimmers toward goals. Provides clear guidance and direction and fosters a collaborative and motivating work environment.
- Communication Skills: Utilizes excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively explain training techniques and provide constructive feedback.
- Technical Expertise: Able to successfully demonstrate stroke mechanics, training methodologies, and use of periodization techniques to optimize performance.
- Individualized Programming: We can develop training plans customized to each swimmer's specific needs and abilities.
- Team Management: Ability to oversee and manage team logistics, including match entry, scheduling, and coaching staff coordination.
- Community Involvement: We are committed to building a vibrant and inclusive Masters Swimming community through networking, outreach, and collaboration with local organizations.
