Marcus Logan and Michael Donaldson join ice swimming record holders

Logan swam 111.2 meters under the ice, a number he said was a nod to his eldest son's birthday.
Donaldson, 84, set two world records by covering 30 meters (99 feet) in a wetsuit without fins or gloves. He also made his mark by running 20 meters in a swimsuit and without fins, and 40 meters in a wetsuit and fins.
Their attempt was completed in the Austrian village of Weissensee.
A graduate of Stanford University and now a psychologist, Logan represented Australia at the 2004 Olympics, winning silver medals in the 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke. From 2001 to 2007 she also won medals at the World Championships.
Donaldson is an author and longtime entertainment attorney in Los Angeles. Donaldson, who works for Donaldson Calif. Perez, serves as general counsel for Film Independent (which hosts the Independent Spirit Awards and the Los Angeles Film Festival) and the Writers Guild of America/West Foundation.
Logan and Donaldson were part of a group that attempted a swim last year, but circumstances prevented them from doing so.
It's ice swimming season, with four Norwegian divers setting records in the first weekend of March. All Norwegian attempts took place at Lake Mystjernet near Kongsberg.
