In anticipation of the launch of its mobile sportsbook service in Virginia, Betfred has announced a new multi-year partnership with Loudoun United FC (LUFC). The new deal, revealed on Tuesday, names Betfred as the soccer team's official sports betting partner.
Loudoun United FC teams up with Betfred
With the new collaboration, Betfred will benefit from brand exposure. The brand's logo will appear on the back of the team's home and away jersey jerseys. Betfred said the sponsorship with Loudoun United will begin with the 2023 USL Championship season. Betfred explained that further brand integration can be expected near the start of the season.
The recent agreement with LUFC complements Betfred's continued growth. Currently, Betfred USA Sports, the US subsidiary of the famous UK-based bookmaker Betfred Group, is licensed in major US markets such as Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and Iowa. Additionally, the bookmaker is in the process of obtaining regulatory approval in Ohio as well as Nevada.
Betfred was represented by SCCG Management in negotiations with Loudoun United. The bookmaker explained that it plans to launch its Betfred Sportsbook mobile product early next year.

Brian Bennett, COO of Betfred USA Sports, confirmed that the company is working with a number of soccer clubs in the UK. He also added that the new deal is an exciting moment, as the partnership with Loudoun United is the company's first U.S. deal with a soccer team.
