It's been a long road back, but Logan Brown is happy to be on the field again.
The Wisconsin transfer played limited minutes last year, playing just nine snaps. Things have improved this spring, and he appears to have secured a spot at left tackle.
“It was great,” Brown said. “As you know, I was out with an injury at the beginning of last year and missed the whole season. It's nice to be back and play football again. If you think about it, I haven't really played football in the last two seasons. I'm just not playing, so that's all.''I'm glad I've been able to play left tackle every day these days. ”
Brown is getting used to being left tackle again. He started as a left tackle before converting to right side in his final year before transferring to Kansas.
It all comes back to him.
“It was different, but it was okay,” he said. “My first three years I played left tackle and left tackle only at the University of Wisconsin. So my fourth season I played right tackle and then I came here and played a little bit of both. So it's like riding a bike. It’s something.”
He had to spend a lot of time in the training room before returning to play, and managing his diabetes was also a big factor.
“So I needed discipline, and to be honest, I needed discipline with my diet,” he said. “A lot of people know that I'm a diabetic, so it's very important to me to control my diabetes, work with my trainers and coaching staff, do what's asked of me and do the best I can. “It was important to be back.” ”
Brown talked about the offensive line, how they face the defensive line in practice, and who is providing leadership. See everything he said in the interview.
