Travis Clark has resigned as coach of the Lawndale football team, athletic director Demetre Howard confirmed.
Job openings are posted on the CIF Southern Section website.
“Lawndale High School has the position of head varsity football coach available. We are looking for an experienced, high character young male leader who can continue to grow our program. 2024 Brand new facilities (fields, weight rooms, team rooms, training rooms, auxiliary fields, etc.) will be in place at the start of the 2020 season. Applications must be completed online by Friday, March 15th at 5:00 p.m. be careful.”
Howard said he is considering hiring for the position “as soon as possible.”
Clark spent the past nine seasons at Lawndale. In 2018, he led the Cardinals to the CIF Southern Section Division 5 championship, the CIF Southern California Region Division 2A title, and the CIF State Bowl Game title. He was named Daily Breeze Coach of the Year.
Lawndale plans to move to the Bay League football league next season.
