The final piece Terry and the Longhorns staff need to complete this rotation for the SEC's inaugural season in 2024-25 is a quality low-post player. Texas needs a big man who can strengthen its frontcourt unit in the final scholarship spot on the roster.
Among the big names in the portal later this spring, the Longhorns' top target is former New Mexico Lobos true freshman standout power forward JT Toppin. Texas is considered the frontrunner for the reigning Mountain West Freshman of the Year award, with the Texas Tech Red Raiders still considered the favorite in this portal's recruitment.
