Boston, Massachusetts—The Atlantic Hockey Association (AHA) announced last week's Player of the Week.niagara forward Carter Landklev He was named AHA Player of the Week after Niagara's two-game victory over Sacred Heart in the Atlantic Hockey quarterfinals.
The Moorhead, Minn., native scored six points in the two-game series. He opened the series with a three-point performance against the Pioneers. He assisted on Niagara's first goal of the game, giving Sacred Heart a 2-1 lead. Landklev then scored back-to-back goals just 30 seconds into the third period to give Niagara a 3-2 lead. In the second game of the weekend, Landklev scored the tying goal against the Purple Eagles, giving him his third goal of the weekend. Landklev then assisted on Niagara's second and third goals.
Landklev currently leads Atlantic Hockey this postseason with seven points. He has 11 points in three playoff games against Sacred Heart dating back to last season.
The Purple Eagles will face the top-seeded RIT Tigers on Friday in Rochester in the opener of the Atlantic Hockey Semifinals. Game 1 is scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m., and Game 2 is scheduled for Saturday at 7 p.m. Game 3, if necessary, is scheduled for Sunday at 5 p.m.
