“Ramandeep committed a Level 1 violation under Article 2.20 of the IPL Code of Conduct,” IPL said in a statement on Sunday. In the event of a Level 1 violation of the Code of Conduct, the match referee's decision will be deemed final and binding.
KKR became the first team to qualify for the playoffs this season with an 18-run victory over Mumbai Indians in a rain-stopped match. Ramandeep contributed to KKR's victory with a quick knock scoring an unbeaten 17 runs off eight balls in the finishing over of the first innings.
