The talent on these lists is off the charts.
The 2023-24 season ended two weeks ago, and the writers at NJ Advance Media have been doing their homework ever since.
It's time to pay tribute to some of the players who put together a great season from start to finish.
Check out the Jeonju teams and honorable mentions for the 2023-24 season below.
First army
F: Jessica Sperling, Morristown Beard Sr.
- statistics:32 goals, 20 assists, 52 points
Sperling was the most prolific scoring threat in the state, rarely spending more than a shift or two on the bench. She played every step of the way for Morristown Beard, reaching 30 points for the first time and exceeding 50 points for the second time. Sperling said she never went scoreless in more than two games this season, ultimately lighting the lamp in 16 games.
F: Claire Schanfrau, Immaculate Heart, that's it.
- statistics: 17 goals, 13 assists, 30 points
Schanfrau burst onto the scene a year ago in his freshman season, scoring 39 goals. Although her offensive totals dropped with her move up to the Librera Division, she played a pivotal role in a historic season for the Blue Eagles. Still, she managed to lead the team with 17 goals and 30 points. Chanfrau had seven multi-goal performances, and she scored 12 points in four games in the state tournament, ultimately helping lead the team to its first appearance in the state finals.
F: Charlotte Diemer, Pingree Sr.
- statistics:26 goals, 8 assists, 34 points
Dimar has been a key part of Pingree's team this season. She had a solid regular season before turning heads in Big Blue's run to its first state title in program history. She had nine goals and one assist in four playoff games, including two goals in the title-winning game against Immaculate Heart. She finished her career with 80 goals, 106 points, and most importantly, a ring.
D: Reed Snyder, Morristown Beard, Thor.
- statistics: 10 goals, 13 assists, 23 points
Good luck trying to find a defenseman with better skating ability than Snyder. The sophomore has a very bright future ahead of her thanks to her mobility and vision on the ice, especially with the puck. When she gets the puck in the neutral zone with speed, her opposing defense is cornered and gets the best of her. She showed more offensive touch this season, setting career highs with 10 goals, 13 assists, and 23 points.
D: Molly Brozowski, Kent Place, Thor.
- statistics:24 goals, 5 assists, 29 points
The sophomore is listed as a defenseman, but has the ability to move wherever the puck drops. Brozowski was the driving force behind Kent Place's first Cohen Cup title, scoring a goal and an assist in the deciding game against Summit. She ended up scoring at least one goal in 12 of her team's 16 games this season. This includes six multi-goal appearances with five hat tricks.
G: Hanna Mortazavi, Morristown Beard, Thor.
- statistics: 21 games played, save percentage .927, 5 shutouts
This is a chance for Mortazavi, who served as Gracie Myers' backup last season, to step into the spotlight. She earned her coach's trust by posting a .927 save percentage in 21 games. These games included games against all of New Jersey's top teams, as well as some great out-of-state matchups against WIHLMA foes. Her sophomore year has allowed two or fewer runs in 16 of 21 games this season, including five shutouts.
second team
F: Julie Jasaitis, Morristown Beard Jr.
- statistics:20 goals, 25 assists, 45 points
Jasaitis is another big-time producer for the Crimson, helping lead the team to the Librera Cup and WIHLMA finals this season. She began the season with 11 goals in her first two games with the program, and in the offseason, she scored 20 goals and set a career high in assists. Jasaitis scored in 13 games this season, five of which were multi-goal. She scored at least two goals in 16 of the 19 games she was on the scoresheet.
F: Logan Harrison, Princeton Day Sr.
- statistics: 11 goals, 4 assists, 15 points
Harrison has been a key part of the Princeton Day program in all three zones for many years. She has the tools to hit her 20 goals, but often sacrifices that offense to play solid, dependable defense on the other side of the puck. She still scored 11 goals on Princeton Day, ranking second on the team with 15 points. Her one of those goals was the game-winner against the Morristown Beard and gave her program her first Librera Cup title.
F: Aibrian Knox, Princeton Day Jr.
- statistics:9 goals, 12 assists, 21 points
Knox is also a player with a lot of heart, and has been with the team for three seasons now. She finished first on the Princeton Day team with 12 assists and 21 points. Her work spanned 12 different games. Of those 12 games, seven were multi-point games. She had two assists in one of the team's biggest games of the season, the Librera Cup final against Morristown Beard.
D: Sienna DeAngelis, Father Trinity Hall
- statistics:24 goals, 13 assists, 37 points
If there was a Rookie of the Year award, DeAngelis would definitely take it home. She showed off her stellar performance in her debut campaign at Trinity Hall. The freshman scored in her first game against Princeton Day and added an assist three days later against Morristown Beard. She continued to lead the team with 24 goals, 13 assists, and 37 points. DeAngelis had a seven-game multi-goal and three hat trick performance against Rockland Day (N.Y.), where she had an eight-point performance. Her potential is extraordinary.
D: Mae Lange, Pingree, Sr.
- statistics: 1 goal, 12 assists, 13 points
Lange was one of only three Pingree defensemen to earn the honor all season. She was one of the anchors of that group and helped lead the team to a historic 2023-24 season. In her best moment, Lange was on the ice, earning a lot of time on the ice in her win over Immaculate Heart in the state final before joining her teammates in celebration. She needed time to catch her breath. The 12 assists she recorded this season matched her overall performance from her sophomore and junior campaigns.
G: Katie Caesar, Trinity Hall, that's it.
- Stats: 20 games played, .949 save percentage, 6 shutouts.
Cisar appeared in 20 of Trinity Hall's 21 games this season and became a true mainstay. She backed up her great freshman year with an even better encore performance in her sophomore year. Her save percentage went from .923 to .949 and her shutouts went from her one to six. Cissard allowed more than three goals just twice in those 20 games. She also reached an important milestone by surpassing 1,000 career saves in just two seasons.
