INDIANAPOLIS โ Indy cars hit the track Saturday for Indy 500 qualifying.
Spots 13 to 30 will be decided by the end of Saturday's qualifying round.
The top 12 drivers will return to qualifying for the Top 12 and Firestone Fast Six on Sunday. The remaining drivers who finished outside the top 30 will also return for the Last Row Shootout for a spot in the 33-car field.
Saturday's qualifying session is scheduled to take place from 11 a.m. to 5:50 p.m. Peacock will receive television coverage throughout the day. An hour of practice was held before the qualifying round.
This year's field includes seven rookies and eight former Indy 500 winners.
