Bart is from Oceana, Ohio, near the Indiana border. He is completing his junior year at Ross High School in Hamilton, Ohio, and is on the swim team with the Makos at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he trains under head coach Chris McKinney. . He is a qualifier in both the 100 back and 200 back at the US Open.
Bart took third place in the 100 backstroke (49.16) and fourth place in the 100 butterfly (49.65) at the 2024 OHSSA Division I Championships. She also led in both the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays and posted personal bests in the 50 backstroke (23.34) and 100 freestyle (47.70). He was the first swimmer from Ross High School to compete in an individual event at the Ohio Division 1 state meet, and he has competed and finished on the podium in each of his three seasons in high school.
At the 2023 Winter Junior East, he achieved lifetime bests in all three events (100/200 back and 100 fly). He also set a personal best in the 200 free time trial. In March, he recorded the best times in the 100 free, 200 back, and 50/100/200 fly at the Tim Myers Senior Short Course Championship. A few weeks later, he started the 2024 long course season at Indy Sectionals, running the 50 free (25.94), 100 free (55.48), 50 back (27.39), 100 back (57.69), and 200 back (2:04.90). I updated my personal record. , 100 fly (57.20), 200 fly (2:12.52).
Ohio State University was always Bart's top choice. He has been going to his OSU football games all his life, and his family is big OSU fans. His mother, Sean Burt, is a former swimmer who graduated from Ohio State University in 1998. She coaches middle school swimming at Ross University.
