The Colorado High School Activities Association 2024 Ice Hockey State Championship will be held on Tuesday, March 5th at the University of Denver's Magness Arena in Denver. The 4A championship game will be played at 5 p.m., and the 5A championship will be played at 7:30 p.m.
What is the schedule for CHSAA's 2024 Ice Hockey State Championships?
- The 4A state championship final will be played at 5 p.m., followed by the 5A final at 7:30 p.m.

- For the state championship at Magness Arena, fan parking is available in Lots C and L for $10 and in Lot 108 for $5.

- yes. Tickets for the state championship game, Frozen Four, and 5A quarterfinals are available exclusively on GoFan.
How should fans behave during the event?
- Please only give positive encouragement.
- Noise-making is prohibited at the state tournament.
- Fans and students are prohibited from being on the ice for the championship ceremony
- for the state championship game at Magness Arena. Spectators may only enter designated bleachers throughout the contest.

- The digital program includes information such as past champions and winners. Past champions can also be found in the Championship Archive.
What happens if the game is tied at the end of regulation?
- If the score is tied at the end of regulation, the game will go into overtime. The ice then returns to the surface, followed by an eight-minute sudden victory period.
- If no one scores in the first eight minutes, a second eight-minute sudden victory overtime will be played after a one-minute break.
- If the score remains tied after the second overtime period, there will be an additional 1-minute break, followed by a third 8-minute sudden victory period.
- If the game remains tied after the third sudden victory period, the teams take a complete break and the ice is resurfaced. After the fourth overtime, both teams would play a 4-on-4 eight-minute sudden victory overtime until the tie was broken. Every third set of overtime is performed, the ice resurfaces.
Will trophies be awarded?
- The winning and runner-up teams in each class will receive trophies at the conclusion of each championship game at center ice.
