Conway, South Carolina – Denzel Hines has signed with the Coastal Carolina University men's basketball program with three years of eligibility remaining.
Denzel Hines: Fontana, California (High Point University)
Denzel transferred to CCU from High Point University and played in 24 games as a freshman last season, averaging over eight minutes per game and recording a double-double against St. Andrews, earning Big South Freshman of the Week honors.
He shot 38.5 percent from the field and 3-point range and 64.3 percent from the free throw line. The 6'7″ forward also grabbed 55 rebounds this season to go with three blocked shots and three steals.
Hines attended Colonie High School where he was a two-time first-team all-state selection on the court, was named league MVP in basketball and participated in track and field.
He played expedition basketball for West Coast Elite and Elev 8. He was also a two-time recipient of the Presidential Honor Award.
