The Dearborn Fordson girls soccer team opened its postseason run last week by shutting out rival Dearborn Edsel Ford in overtime and resumed its quest for the Division 1 state playoffs on Tuesday.
In the second of two regional semifinal games at Wyandotte Roosevelt University, the Tractors faced off against a Detroit Western International team that defeated Detroit Cass Tech University, 7-0, in last week's regional quarterfinal.
The teams played late into the night, and some dramatic late action saw the Dearborn hometown team come from behind to beat the Cowgirls 3-2, extending their season at least one more game.
