Georgia has several keynote speakers who made their debut on Saturday during G-Day. Let's take a look at the transfers that had a big impact on Saturday.
Georgia's annual spring game was played Saturday afternoon, and although the football game ended in a tie, the Georgia State football team is ranked #1 in the preseason rankings heading into the fall of 2024. There were still losers left.
Although Georgia State is recruiting players at an optimal level, there was still a huge need to strengthen this roster through the NCAA transfer portal this offseason. Since December, they have had seven transfers come through the portal, six of whom played in Saturday's scrimmage, and Stanford tight end Benjamin Yurosek is scheduled to be on campus this summer. Xavier McLeod, DT
“I want more consistency. I want him to be that disruptive and consistent player when we practice.” That was after the G-Day scrimmage. It happened Saturday afternoon when I talked about Xavier McLeod on Kirby Smart. McLeod transferred to Georgia State after spending his freshman season with the South Carolina Gamecocks. He joins Georgia's program and it's clear from Saturday's performance that he will be one of Georgia's more disruptive defensive linemen this season. What Georgia needed was
