To attract cricket enthusiasts visiting Dharamshala for the IPL matches scheduled for May 5 and 9, the administration has implemented voter awareness songs, hoardings, designated selfie points at various locations, etc. , plans to spread voter education through various means. The initiative was planned during a recent meeting between Kangra administration officials and HPCA officials in Dharamshala.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) theme song and the theme song of Himachal in LS polls may also be played at certain times during the match. Kangra City Deputy Commissioner (DC) Hemraj Bhairwa emphasized the importance of the upcoming IPL matches in creating awareness among thousands of cricket lovers in Himachal Pradesh and beyond. “While various ongoing initiatives are being taken under Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) for voter education, additional measures will be taken to engage cricket fans during IPL matches in Dharamshala. measures will be taken,” he said.
