The Gators basketball team expanded its roster with the addition of Alexia Gassett. Gassett (formerly Mobley) comes to Florida after playing two seasons at Louisville.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. โ Head Coach kelly ray finley announced that Florida women's basketball has added the 6-2 forward to its 2024-25 roster.red shirt junior Alexia Gassett (formerly Alexia Mobley) came to Florida via the transfer portal after playing her final two seasons at the University of Louisville.
In his most recent season with Louisville, Gassett had a season-high scoring performance with a 12-point performance against Bellarmine (November 16). Gassett played in 24 games with the Cardinals in 2023-24, shooting 62.5 percent from the field. Gassett proved to be a tough competitor early in the season, grabbing a career-high seven rebounds against North Carolina A&T (Dec. 3).
Prior to his time at Louisville, Gassett was ranked as a four-star recruit out of Reynoldsburg, Ohio. She was also ranked No. 31 overall and was recognized as the seventh-best wing in the 2022 recruiting class.

In addition to Gassett, the Gators welcome three highly competitive freshmen to the 2024-25 roster in Kylie Kitts (Haggerty High School), McDonald's All-American Mela O'Neal (Episcopal High School), and Liv McGill ing. (Hopkins High School).
