The Cincinnati USA Athletic Commission announced it is considering hosting a college football bowl game in the Queen City. If the event meets official approvals, the match will be held at TQL Stadium and broadcast exclusively on the CW Network. For the Chili Bowl, tentatively called Cincinnati, the game was scheduled to be held in December and broadcast on The CW, one of the few games not to be broadcast on the ESPN network (for the 2022 bowl season, it will be broadcast on the ESPN channel (Only three games were missed.) It has not yet been decided which conference will partner with the Cincinnati Chili Bowl. Outside of the game, one of the bowl's purposes will be to serve as a networking event for players. The day after the game, 30 area business leaders will be invited to host the “Bigwigs Business Bluff,” giving student-athletes from participating schools the opportunity to meet with business leaders and discuss employment opportunities. The feasibility study for the bowl will be led by Game Day's CEO, Jackie Reau, and his two local businessmen, Steven Young and John Schenk. The Cincinnati Chili Bowl enters a fiercely competitive field. This bowl season includes 42 bowl games, not including the College Football Playoff Championship Game. If the bowl passes the feasibility study, it will be the first bowl game to be played in Cincinnati.
