CHATTANOOGA — The Chattanooga indoor volleyball team made its third transfer portal addition on Tuesday with the addition of outside hitter Erin Wyatt from Georgia State University, as announced by the head coach. julie tobet.
Wyatt, who made an impact as a four-year starter with the Panthers, will join the Mox for the 2024 season in his fifth and final year of eligibility. Wyatt finished his career at GSU with 731 career kills, 2.26 career kills/set average, 820 career digs (2.54 digs/set), 161 career blocks (0.5 blocks), and 64 career aces (0.2 aces/set). was recorded. ).

Wyatt has performed at his highest level over the past two seasons at Georgia State, recording 426 kills (58.3 percent), 503 digs (61.3 percent), 102 blocks (63.4 percent), and 46 aces. (71.9%) achieved during two years of her playing career. This season in 2023, Wyatt finished the year as the team leader in kills (208), aces (22) and points (266.0), and ranked second on the Panthers in digs (279).
A native of Spring, Texas, Wyatt attended Klein Collins High School and was a four-year letterwinner for the Tigers. Wyatt led his high school team in kills for three consecutive seasons, ultimately racking up more than 1,300 kills during his time at Klein Collins. Wyatt was also a two-time Tigers First Team All-District Player of the Year and a two-time team MVP.
Wyatt also played club volleyball for Asics Willowbrook Volleyball in high school. Away from the sport of volleyball, Wyatt competed on the Klein Collins track and field team and was a member of the National Honor Society.
Off the court, Wyatt was an exceptional student and was named to the Dean's List and Athletic Director's Honor Roll multiple times during his time at Georgia State University. Wyatt also served as secretary of the BSAA (Black Student-Athlete Association) and was a member of the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee).
Born March 21, 2002, Erin is the daughter of Tonya Carney and Sean Wyatt. Additionally, Wyatt has three siblings: Eli, Ethan, and Kay Wyatt. Her brothers Eli and Ethan currently play football at Blinn College, and her father Sean plays basketball at Texas Tech University. Wyatt is undecided as to what degree he will pursue while attending UTC.
