DENVER – The Colorado High School Activities Association's 2024 Ice Hockey State Champions were crowned Tuesday at the University of Denver's Magness Arena.
In the 4A state championship, Durango sank an empty net as time expired for a 4-2 victory over Summit, earning the program its first state championship in its second season. This was the first-ever state championship game in ice hockey for both 4A teams.
Following the 4A title game, Valor Christian and Regis Jesuit battled it out for 5A supremacy, with Regis winning 3-1. The win marks the seventh hockey state title in program history. This is his second most among CHSAA ice hockey programs and the most among 5A CHSAA ice hockey programs.
