New Delhi: Controversial dismissals have been a part of cricket since the game began. However, this edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been rocked time and again by controversial dismissals.

The incident took place in the 16th over when Samson was caught by Shai Hope at the long fence off Mukesh Kumar.
It was a tough catch on the long rope, but Hope managed to grab it. The third umpire checked it and called it out.

Samson had walked away, but the Royals dugout believed a fielder had touched the ropes. The Royals captain began to walk away, but returned to the center and got into a heated argument with the umpires on the field.
Samson went down after 86 of 46 pitches, and the Royals lost the game by 20 points.
The state broadcaster shared a clip of X in which former Indian cricketer-turned-commentator Navjot Singh Sidhu gives his views on the controversial sacking.
In the video, Sidhu said, “The game changed with Sanju Samson's dismissal. If you look at the replay, his foot touched the boundary twice, it's very obvious. I don't use technology, but technology If you are using one or the other,” he said. And if the technology makes an error, it's just something like Dood mein makki padi hoi hai aur koi aapko kahe piyo.nahi pi sakte ho aap. ”
“So, my foot touched the boundary line twice, and then if someone said it was out, the fans, neutrals like me, would say now you showed me that, Now you would say, Doo mein makki padi hoi hai aur tum mujhe ke rahe ho ki piyo, main nahi piyunga.. It's not out. Whatever the rules, that's clear, but some evidence is incredibly strong. They are very decisive. It's like finding a trout in a glass of milk. Whatever happened there, the referee didn't do it intentionally. No one is at fault. It happens. it's part of the game. But then the game changed,” added Sidhu, who is known for his quick wit.
It was the Royals' third loss in 11 games, and they remain second in the points standings.
Delhi Capitals are in the 5th position with 6 losses and 6 wins from 12 matches.
