rio grande valley – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Intercollegiate Athletics Department announced Wednesday that fans have completed deposits for 3,263 season tickets, the first in UTRGV football history.
UTRGV saw a surge in support after last week's announcement that UTRGV Stadium, formerly known as HEB Park, would become the Vaqueros' primary home, with 208 new season tickets deposited on Feb. 28.
“We all know this stadium and we all know it well. It truly is the crown jewel of stadiums in the Rio Grande Valley,” said UTRGV Vice President and Director of Athletics. Chasse Conch Said. “This means we are committed to not only doing the right thing, but building a top-notch college football program and ensuring our fans have a great experience when they come to UTRGV football games.” It sends a strong message.'' Fans can reserve season tickets for the inaugural season of UTRGV football in 2025 with a $25 deposit.
Fans can deposit at GoUTRGV.com/Tickets. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable and will be applied towards the purchase of season tickets.
“As a competitor and an athlete, you imagine the future a lot,” UTRGV Head Football Coach travis bush Said. “We have envisioned game day thousands of times since our first press conference at UTRGV Stadium in December 2022. It will be a beautiful sight to see this place filled with orange. To see the tailgate with clouds of smoke and hundreds of fans firing shots. It's up by the time the bus gets there, and it's just the perfect environment for college football.”
UTRGV Athletics is still finalizing details regarding ticket pricing, but the plan is to offer a variety of price points with season tickets as low as $99 to ensure something for everyone. Seating locations will be determined near the start of the first season.
UTRGV Athletics will give seating selection priority to current V Club members, season ticket holders in all sports, and corporate partners. More information about this system will be published in the coming months.

UTRGV is committed to playing games in both the Upper and Lower Valleys, as in addition to UTRGV Stadium, the Vaqueros also play their home games each season at Sam's Memorial Stadium in Brownsville.
