Tuesday's first round of the CIF Southern California Regional Men's Volleyball Playoffs includes a matchup with Corona del Mar in Huntington Beach.
They play in Division I.
Corona del Mar and Huntington Beach met twice in Surf League competition. Corona del Mar won the first game, 3-2, and Huntington Beach won the second game, 3-2.
Also in the Division I first round on Tuesday, Edison will face CIF Southern Section Division 1 champion Loyola and Newport Harbor will face Torrey Pines.
In Division II on Tuesday, San Clemente will face CIF-SS Division 2 champion Santa Margarita. The St. Margarets, who defeated San Clemente in the CIF-SS Division 3 final on Saturday, will play at St. Joseph in Santa Marita.
CIF-SS Division 6 champion Samueli Academy will play in the Division III first round on Tuesday at Sage Creek in Carlsbad. CIF-SS Division 5 champion Sage Hill will play in another Division III first-round game Tuesday at West Ranch in Valencia.
The regional playoffs continue with semifinal games on Thursday. The regional finals are May 18th.
All Southern California regional games will be held at the home team's venue starting at 6 p.m. GoFan.co is a website for purchasing tickets to the game.
Boys volleyball does not have a CIF state championship. The 2024-25 school year will be the first year of the CIF State Championship.
