Here are this year's swimming and diving nominees. We'll start with the women. As always… St. Vincent Academy had four Saints nominated this year: seniors Camryn Baraniak, Lily Helton and Avery Nelson… and junior Ella Nelson. Richmond Hill freshman Abby Found… and St. Andrews School freshman Josie Thompson… For the boys… Benedictine Cadets had three nominees: Senior Kayden Cahill, sophomore Ethan Dibke, junior Kaydin Dibke, along with sophomore Victor “Cintrone” Rosario from The Jenkins School, junior Ian Given from St. Andrews School and finally his junior Jack Hendrix from Richmond Hill.

The Coastal Empire High School Sports Awards Show is just around the corner, and WJCL 22 is once again an official sponsor. The event is a sports recognition program that is part of the USA TODAY High School Sports Awards. It recognizes the area's top performing athletes, coaches and teams. The nine-month program selects and presents nominees each season, culminating in an in-person awards show where winners are announced and special awards are presented. Attendance is free for nominated athletes. This year's ceremony will be held on Friday, June 7, at the Johnny Mercer Theater at the Savannah Civic Center.
