The Cincinnati Marlins are seeking a full-time Senior/Age Group Swimming Coach. The Cincinnati Marlins are a year-round, non-profit swim club based at two locations in the greater Cincinnati area. Our central location is the newly renovated Keating Natatorium at St. His Xavier High School in Finneytown. Our south site is located at Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, Kentucky. The Marlins provide programs to approximately 400 members across lessons, pregame, competition, water polo and Masters groups.
The successful candidate will bring a wealth of positive energy and focus to the club's senior swimmers and will also take responsibility for the age group programme. Senior coaches report directly to the Head Coach/CEO. They will work with the Associate Head Coach and South Site Leader to support, identify and coach athletes towards the senior level for the Marlins. From age group states to trials to college swimming, working with your athletes to set and achieve goals is a must. This position will consist of on-deck coaching, administrative duties, mentoring assistant coaches, and assisting the head coach/CEO with assigned tasks.
We are looking for team members with a team-first mentality who are willing to learn, share, grow and work hard. Candidates must be energetic, motivated and able to encourage all athletes within the club with positive energy. The ability to teach and develop stroke technique is essential. Understanding and previous experience with the USA Swimming American Development Model is preferred.
Senior Coach Responsibilities
Coaching is available in the mornings, evenings, and weekends throughout the year.
Depending on the time of year, you must be able to attend at least one or two weekend meetings per month.
Strive to be a role model for athletes by demonstrating professionalism in your interactions with swimmers, parents, and fellow coaches.
Provides clear and professional communication with swimmers, parents, and coaches.
Send weekly updates to parents in your group
Create a fun and engaging learning environment to promote growth and retention.
Develops and executes programs targeting competitive senior groups or other assigned roles/groups.
Work directly with Associate Head Coaches to create a development model that aligns with the Head Coach/CEO's vision.
Attends weekly staff meetings and contributes to the team.
Manage staff credentials to ensure all Marlins staff members have up-to-date coaching certifications.
Help maintain a social media presence to promote your team.
Manage meet entries for swimmers within a group and oversee meet entries for the entire team, including meet entry deadlines.
Commit to continuing education through USA Swimming, ASCA, and Ohio Swimming.
Participates in all team events.
Assists with other team responsibilities/needs as directed by Head Coach/Associate Head Coach.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Work with senior level swimmers for a minimum of 3 years or with age group level swimmers for a minimum of 5 years.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
Has knowledge and experience in technology, training and skill development aspects of training at all competency levels.
Ability to communicate in a professional manner.

Must pass all background checks and maintain permanent coach membership in good standing with USA Swimming.
compensation:
Annual salary will be determined according to the candidate's experience. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package including health, eye care, and dental insurance.
Retirement plans are available to all full-time employees after 30 days.
