MOHAWK, N.Y. โ The Chittenango boys volleyball team won its second Class B division title in three seasons with a 3-1 victory over Central Valley Academy on Friday night at Jarvis Middle School.
The second-seeded Thunder took the first set 25-22, but the first-seeded Bears won the next three sets to seal the victory. Chittenango won 25-22, 25-18, 25-16.
CVA was the only team this year to win a set against Chittenango. The only other set the Bears lost was a 3-1 win against the Thunder on February 13th.
Chittenango (21-0) advances to the regional round and will face Ichabod Crane at Maple Hill High School in Castleton-on-Hudson at 1 p.m.
CVA's season ended with 17 wins and 5 losses.
