Join us for group runs, photo sessions and fun events leading up to Global Running Day!
Boston —The Boston Athletic Association (BAA) has planned five consecutive days of running-related activities from June 1st to June 5th, with the aim of encouraging everyone to get on their fitness journey.
This year for the first time, the BAA is extending the ethos of Global Running Day (Wednesday 5th June) to a full week, creating more opportunities for fun running every day for five consecutive days at the start of June.
“The journey to fitness and a healthy lifestyle can start anywhere, and we'll encourage it through casual fun runs and meetups from June 1 to June 5,” said BAA President and CEO Jack Fleming. “Our vision for BAA Running Week is to expose new runners and 'already' runners — in other words, everyone who is interested — to the health benefits that come from the activity, recreation and sport of running.”
Team BAA will participate in several events each day for a week in Boston, running at a leisurely pace in an engaging, fun, relaxed atmosphere. Running Week will feature photo opportunities with the Boston Marathon Champions Trophy, free giveaways, and opportunities for casual networking with fellow runners.
A detailed schedule of events can be found below, and daily updates and important information can be found on BAA's social media channels: Instagram, X/Twitter, Facebook, Tik Tok, etc.
