Ticket packages are now on sale for the 2024 Young Stars Classic, to be held at the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton.
The six-match round-robin tournament will take place from Friday, September 13th to Monday, September 16th.
The tournament will feature promising young players from the Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames and Winnipeg Jets.
This year marks the 11th running of the Young Stars Classic.
To add some excitement to this year's tournament, it has been announced that the Penticton Bees and Salmon Arm Silverbacks of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) will participate in an exhibition game on Saturday, September 14th.
The first match of the Young Stars Tournament will take place on Friday, September 13th at 4pm, with prospects from the Calgary Flames and Winnipeg Jets taking to the ice to battle it out.
The second game of the night will see Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers prospects take to the ice, with puck drop scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
The exhibition game between the Vees and Silverbacks will be played at 3pm on Saturday, September 14th. That game will be followed by a matchup between the Flames and Oilers prospects at 7:30pm.
The Canucks and Jets prospects will play on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 2 p.m.
The tournament will conclude on Monday, September 16th, with the Jets and Oilers prospects playing at 11 a.m. In the final game, the Flames and Canucks prospects will play at 2:30 p.m.
Full tournament packages will go on sale to the public on Monday, July 29th at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at the Valley First Box Office at SOEC or online at ValleyFirstTix.com.
Each full tournament package includes tickets to all six NHL games and a Vees exhibition game, with ticket prices starting at $115 for adults and $75 for children 12 and under.
Two weeks ago, the Canucks announced they would hold their first training camp in Penticton, a week before the Young Stars Tournament begins.
Canucks and Abbotsford Canucks season ticket holders, SOEC Premium Seat/Suite and Cyber Club members, and Vees season ticket holders will have access to an exclusive pre-sale ahead of tickets going on sale to the general public on Monday, July 29th.

In addition to games, several community events will be held during the Young Stars Classic, including the annual Young Stars Classic Party held on the Plaza outside SOEC, as well as a minor hockey skills competition and refereeing clinics.
