UCLA Women's Basketball has announced its Big Ten Conference home and away opponents for the 2024-2025 season. The Bruins made back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Sweet 16 during their time in the Pac-12 and are now in the Big Ten.
The Bruins will play Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Ohio State and Penn State at Pauley Pavilion. These are the same conference rivals hosted by crosstown archrival USC, meaning each of these schools will likely come to Los Angeles for a two-game road trip.
UCLA will then face Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Oregon, Purdue, Rutgers, Washington State and Wisconsin. The only team they haven't played is Wisconsin. Of course, they are familiar with Oregon State and Washington State, as they have played those two schools in the Pac-12 for many years.
UCLA will also face USC both at home and on the road. Both teams made it to the NCAA Sweet 16 last year, so this could very well be the two most anticipated games of next season. Even in a new conference, USC remains the Bruins' toughest opponent and biggest challenger to the conference championship, considering they won the Pac-12 tournament last season and made it to the Elite Eight. There's a good chance.
The Bruins will be in the Big Ten behind Lauren Betts and Kiki Rice, who were named to the All-Pac-12 team last year. However, they will be without Charisma Osborn, who entered the WNBA with the Phoenix Mercury.
