A new coach will be leading the defending state champions.
Camas County High School announced that Brad Tingey has been named the new head boys basketball coach, according to a Facebook post on Monday.
The school side: Times News.
Tingey replaces Jamon Frostenson, who won 153 games in 11 seasons and helped the school win its first state title since 1974. “We're thrilled to be able to have such a great team,” said outgoing Camas County activities director Mike McHan. Times News Frostenson stepped down to spend more time with his family.
Tingey brings a wealth of experience. He has taught for 30 years, including 15 years as athletic director in various Utah school districts including Hillcrest, Copper Hills and Herriman High Schools. He has been a head coach for 18 of those years, winning two region titles and leading his teams to eight state tournament appearances. Tingey will have to rebuild from the ground up at Camas County as the Mushers will lose eight seniors from their state championship team.
