Dassel-Cokato/Litchfield finished eighth in the Section 3A swimming and diving meet Saturday in Hutchinson.
Hutchinson won the section for the fifth straight year with 403 points, while Dassel Cokato/Litchfield scored 126 points. The Charging Dragons had no players advance to the state tournament.
Junior Will Carlson had the Charging Dragons' top individual finish, finishing ninth in the 100-yard backstroke. His time of 59.73 seconds was actually the eighth fastest time of Saturday's meet, but he was swimming in the heat of Thursday's repechage after qualifying.
Carlson swam on the team in the 200-meter medley and 400-meter freestyle relay, and also placed 13th in the 200-meter individual medley.
Junior Mathias Slinden swam two freestyle relays, placing 10th in the 200m freestyle and 14th in the 500m freestyle.
The Charging Dragons finished first in the relay. DCL's team of juniors Carlson and Evan Johnson, sophomore Matthew Defries and freshman Parker Josephson placed sixth in the 200-meter medley relay with a time of 1:48.18.
DCL's 200 freestyle relay team of Elijah Slinden, Matthias Slinden, Defries and Dominik Borg also placed sixth with a time of 1:34.79.
The 400-meter freestyle relay team of the Slinden brothers, Evan Johnson, and Carlson placed seventh with a time of 3:28.12.
