Murfreesboro, Tennessee – Head Coach chuck crawford announced the 2024 Middle Tennessee volleyball schedule, including 31 games for the Blue Raiders. MTSU will play 12 non-conference games, playing nine Conference USA opponents twice.
“Following last year's success, we have sought to increase the difficulty of the competition to increase the RPI at the end of the year,” said the MTSU head coach. chuck crawford.
The Blue Raiders will host an exhibition game against Belmont before heading to Montana State. MTSU will first play in Bozeman, Montenegro. He fought Washington and Montana on August 31st and September 1st.
The Blue Raiders will host the Blue Raider Bash from September 6-8, with Lehigh, SEMO, Austin Peay and Arkansas State coming to Murfreesboro. MTSU will play a doubleheader against Lehigh and SEMO on September 6th. The next day, the Blue Raiders will play Austin Peay, and to close out the tournament, MTSU will face Arkansas State on September 8th.
The team will travel to Charleston, South Carolina to play against Utah Tech, Robert Morris and College of Charleston on September 13th and 14th. The Blue Raiders will travel to Charlottesville, Virginia to face the Virginia Cavaliers twice on September 17th and 18th.
MTSU will host Alabama A&M on Sept. 24, completing the non-conference schedule section.
This season, the Blue Raiders will play each conference opponent on two consecutive days. To begin conference play, MTSU will visit Sam Houston on September 26th and 27th. MTSU will host FIU, Jacksonville State, LA Tech and New Mexico State, and alternate games against Sam Houston, WKU, Liberty University, UTEP and Kennesaw State. between home and away games.
UTEP's road games against Kennesaw State will be played back-to-back against the Miners on Nov. 1 and 2 and against the Owls on Nov. 8 and 9. In between the Liberty and Los Angeles Tech games, the Blue Raiders will head to Asheville, North Carolina, and play at UNC Asheville on October 22nd.
MTSU is scheduled to play 13 home games, 15 away games and three neutral games by the end of the 2024 regular season.
The Conference USA Tournament will be hosted by UTEP from November 22-24 in El Paso, Texas. The Blue Raiders are aiming for their sixth consecutive tournament appearance.
The Blue Raiders return two key pieces from last year's starting lineup. Laure Jansen and Adri Rhoda. Rhoda was named to the All-Conference USA First Team for his performance last season, and Janse was named to the All-Conference USA Second Team. MTSU added five freshmen and three transfers to this year's team.
