Bill Belichick wears Washington gear at football practice with son

Bill Belichick can't walk away from football.

The 2024 season will be the first year Belichick hasn't held a job in the NFL since 1974. His son Steve was an assistant coach under his father in New England and was hired as defensive coordinator at the University of Washington.

The older Belichick attended Huskies practice to see his son's new job up close.

On Saturday, Belichick was at Washington's practice facility wearing Husky gear, as shown in a photo shared by . Evan Feather of RealDawg.comparticipated in a coaching clinic held by Washington head coach Jed Fisch for local high school coaches.

The young Belichick and Fisch are both in their first year in Washington. Fisch and Belichick have worked together before. Fisch was the quarterbacks coach and Belichick was the outside linebackers coach.

Washington, which reached the national championship last season, hopes to remain at the top of the college football world even after joining the Big Ten.

Joining them in the Big Ten are rivals Oregon State, USC, and UCLA, all of whom are making the jump from the Pac-12.

The Huskies' biggest game next season is a rematch with Michigan in the national championship game.

They will play the Wolverines on October 5th, a game that has likely been in orbit since the schedule was announced.

Bill Belichick, who won two Super Bowls as the Giants' defensive coordinator and six as the Patriots' head coach, also served as a keynote speaker at the event for youth soccer coaches.fish Said He will spend the next five days with the team.

He doesn't have a job for the 2024 NFL season, but is expected to find one for the 2025 season. Belichick currently ranks third in league history as a head coach with 302 wins and first in postseason wins with 31.
