Brent Beswick, Northern Highlands
The junior had a magical season with the Highlanders and was rewarded with another championship ring. Beswick set career highs in goals, assists and points for the second straight season. He became one of the most dynamic forwards in the state and an integral part of the Highlanders' unstoppable top line.
Beswick scored 37 points and 48 assists for a team-high 85 points. He scored at least four points on 11 different occasions and scored in 19 of the team's 26 games, including the last five.
Coach of the Year
Andrew Fry, Passaic Tech
Only in its fifth year of existence, Passaic Tech has emerged as the top program in Passaic County and one of the best of the best in the Big North Conference. Just one season ago, Passaic Tech won its first county title, and this winter they doubled him in the standings, surpassing West Milford-Pequannock to complete a repeat mission.
The team didn't stop there. After a slow run over the next five games, Passaic Tech got back on track in time, defeating Teenfly-Cresskill-Leonia, River Dell-Westwood-Emerson, Pascack Valley-Hills, and the Big North. -Won the Gold Cup. That momentum propelled the team to the sectional quarterfinals, where they lost to eventual state champion Northern Highlands.

The Highlanders weren't going to forgive the blowout loss to Chatham in the 2023 Public B semifinals lightly. The team has a renewed focus heading into the 2023-24 season, gradually establishing itself as one of the state's top public teams. And the time has come to prove it.
Northern Highlands, coming off a tough loss in the Big North Gold Cup playoffs, outscored its opponents, including an undefeated Randolph team, 29-4 in four section games to win the North Jersey Public title. They defeated Manalapan in the state final, winning their second state title in three years.
