TCU won the Conference USA Championship in its first year in the conference.
After earning the No. 1 seed, the Horned Frogs defeated Tarleton State, Tulane, No. 19 FAU and the Green Wave again to win the title.
olivia kleins and Anete Namike They were named Pair of the Tournament as they did not drop a set in all four matches.
hayley hamlet, Angelina Cumil, Sutton McTavishand Ana Vergara He was selected to the CUSA All-Tournament Team along with Kleins and Namike. The Frogs led the conference with six players named to the all-tournament team.
Head Coach: “As a coach, I'm very proud of this team.'' Hector Gutierrez Said. “While we faced windy and difficult conditions throughout the weekend, our players overcame the conditions and showed incredible resilience and adaptability.”
The Horned Frogs won back-to-back conference championships after winning the 2023 CCSA title. They now have an automatic bid to the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championships.
Thursday, April 25th
3-0 win over Tarleton State University
McTavish/Vergara and Kleins/Namike achieved their first victory as a pair. TCU secured the victory in its first matchup against Tarleton State.
Friday, April 26th
Defeat Tulane 3-0
Sutton McTavish fought back after dropping the first set to earn his 100th career win.
Defeat No. 19 FAU 3-1
The Frogs improved to 11-7 on the season against top-ranked opponents.
Saturday, April 27th
Defeat Tulane 3-0
TCU now has won eight in a row against Tulane (10-4 overall). With this win, the Frogs captured the CUSA Championship and made it to their fourth consecutive NCAA Championship appearance.
Another great season for the Frogs and high expectations for the NCAA Championship. He has one of the best beach volleyball programs built in Fort Worth.
next: No. 6 TCU will compete in the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championships May 3-5 in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Opponents will be determined at the NCAA Selection Show on Sunday, April 28 at 10 a.m. PT.
