Conway, South Carolina – Coastal Carolina's beach volleyball team will be back in action this weekend, with the Sandy Chants competing in the Wheeler Beach Bash hosted by South Carolina on March 2nd and 3rd. Coastal will face UNCW and home South Carolina on Saturday, then face Chattanooga and College of Charleston on Sunday.

The Sandy Chants enter the weekend with three votes in the latest AVCA College Beach Poll. The Chanticleers are one of just 27 teams appearing on the ballot this week.

Madison Allredand Rachel Ehlers Allred and Ehlers went 3-1 on Court 4 at the Jacksonville Invitational, including a straight-set victory over No. 13 (21-14, 21-4), and are in the running for 2024. Named the first Sun Belt Conference Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week. F.I.U. With the win over the Panthers, Ehlers earned his 50th career win and became the ninth player in program history to win 50 games as a Chanticleer. Allred and Ehlers have 36 total wins as a tandem, the most in program history.
Coastal and UNCW History
This will be the 16th meeting between the two teams, as the Sandy Chants have a 7-8 lead in the series. The Seahawks and Chants met twice last season, with Coastal winning 3-2.
Coastal and South Carolina History
South Carolina won all 12 games against Coastal. Last season, the Chanticleers lost a 3-2 decision to the Gamecocks.
History of the Coast and Chattanooga
Coastal Carolina has won just two games against the Chants and Mox, including a 4-1 win last weekend.
Coastal and College of Charleston History
The Sandy Chants fall behind 6-8 in the series against the Cougars, but have won three of five games in 2023, including a 3-0 victory in the Sun Belt Championship Tournament. .
