Founded in 1931, Bahia plays in Brazil's top league, Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A. The club has won two Brasileira Run titles and a total of 50 state titles. Last year, it was announced that City Football Group had become Bahia SAF's majority shareholder with a 90% stake in the club.
