Over the past few decades, thousands of athletes have traveled to Leadville, Colorado to run on public land in and around this iconic town. Now, runners have the opportunity to learn about the landscape and its community and give back in a new environment. Camp & Run 2024 event.
Scheduled to run from Friday, June 21, 2024 to Sunday, June 23, 2024, participants will run and play in the area, learn about history, and actively participate in conservation efforts. Learn more and register for Camp & Run 2024 today.
Sponsored by the nonprofit organization Runners for Public Lands and in collaboration with Cloud City Conservation Center, Friends of Lake County, and the Lake County Tourism Panel, the event is an educational and educational program that promotes deeper relationships between landscapes and communities. The three-day event allows participants to enjoy the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains while actively working on projects to improve the region. Throughout the weekend, participants can learn from local experts, contribute to service projects, and spend time with other runners and outdoor enthusiasts. With opportunities to run with others or alone, and group lunches and dinners each day, there's something for everyone. At the end of each day, runners have time to swap stories with other runners around the campfire.
Everyone who loves Leadville has a variety of personal reasons that draw them to the area. Regardless of our specific motivations, it's always good to get more involved and give back to the places we love.
