LONDON (AP) – Arsenal continued their quest for the Premier League title with a 3-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday, putting Mikel Arteta's side four points behind second-placed Manchester City.
City then improved to one point by defeating Wolverhampton, with another game still in hand.
Bukayo Saka converted a penalty in the 45th minute after Kai Havertz stumbled, and Leandro Trossard and Declan Rice added second-half goals at the Emirates Stadium to seal Arsenal's fourth successive league win.
Arsenal, aiming for their first league title since 2004, have two games left – against Manchester United and at home to Everton.
In the 42nd minute, Havertz ran in to a through ball past Mark Travers to earn a penalty, but the goalkeeper deflected it off the German international's legs.
Saka went 6-for-6 from the penalty spot this season, making it Arsenal's 16th shot of the game at the time.
Bournemouth became more involved in the second half, but they despaired in the 70th minute when Rice teed up Trossard, who fired low from inside the area.
Rice ran into a pass from Gabriel Jesus and scored the goal seven minutes into stoppage time to seal the victory.
Bournemouth had a goal from Ryan Christie at 2-0, but the goal was disallowed as Dominic Solanke pushed Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya in the build-up, but after a VAR check, the referee The judgment remained unchanged.
