With just over a week until the college basketball transfer portal closes, we've got the latest portal news from Ole Miss.
Ole Miss Basketball loses guard Brandon Murray to the transfer portal April 22nd. Murray was traded to the Rebels from Georgetown in 2023 after spending the season with the Hoyas. The Florida State native was a top-85 recruit who committed to LSU in 2021.
There were rumors that Murray could enter the portal after appearing in just 23 games.
Average of 19.8 minutes per game. He averaged 4.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in those appearances. This is not the best timing for head coach Chris Beard and he needs to make another change to the roster.
Virginia Tech transfer guard Sean Pedula visits Oxford April 22nd, Ole Miss is battling Oklahoma over his commitment. The Sooners are in the driver's seat. However, Chris Beard indicated that if they can get a player on campus, there's a good chance they'll commit to the Rebels.
Pedula averaged 16.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.6 assists for the Hokies last season. If Ole Miss can get him to commit to them, it would be a significant addition to his roster.
Ole Miss is looking to have several players visit campus this week. One of those players is Kaceen Pryor, a transfer from South Florida. The big forward has interest from several top programs. But Beard is reaching out and trying to get the great to visit campus.
