Former Penn State women's soccer player Ali Krieger will deliver the commencement address for the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communication's Class of 2024 on Saturday, May 4 at 1 p.m. . Announced on Tuesday.
Krieger, Active member of the Pennsylvania State Board of Regents, played for the Nittany Lions from 2003 to 2006. At Penn State, Krieger won several awards, including Big Ten Freshman of the Year, National Player of the Year in 2005 and 2006, and Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year as a senior.
After graduation, Krieger played professional soccer for 16 years. She participated in and won the Women's World Cup in 2015 and 2019. After she was elected to the board and injured her knee, Krieger will retire in 2023. Krieger currently works as a studio analyst at ESPN.
Commencement exercises for the School of Communication will be held in the Bryce Jordan Center.Other locations graduation ceremonythe event, which runs from Friday, May 3 to Sunday, May 5, includes Pegula Ice Arena and Eisenhower Auditorium.
