Harting's season best (1:56.12) puts him fourth in the American rankings so far this season, while Shackel's season best (1:57.04) puts him sixth in the American rankings.
Returning to the women's side, brady kendall The Michigan native dropped significantly on the day, winning the 50-meter freestyle in 25.09 seconds. Coming into this day, Kendall recorded her best time of 26.01 seconds since July 2021. Kendall dropped her spot to qualify for her first Olympic team, with a time of 25.69 seconds.

In the 100 back, Jack Wilkening swam 53.37 to take the lead by more than a second, with Tommy Janton second in 54.55. Wilkening's previous best time was 54.35 seconds.
Ilya Sibirtsev and Luke Whitlock We escaped the heat early in the race and stayed next to each other for most of the race. Sivirtsev finished just ahead in 3:48.57 and Whitlock swam 3:49.10. Whitlock's swim was his best time by more than a second since his previous best time was 3:50.46, which placed him fifth at the 2023 World Juniors.
