Fahl, Texas – Following a strong regular season campaign, New Mexico State’s swimming and diving program begins its final journey as it prepares for the 2024 WAC Championships at the Furr Natatorium in Furr, Texas.
The championship game begins Wednesday morning against the Aggies, who will be looking to win their first WAC championship.This could be a difficult task as Northern Arizona's No. 10 is coming to an endth They aim to win back-to-back WAC titles, and enter this week as the favorites to continue their winning streak, as voted by the league's eight head coaches.

- The Aggies will head into the championship with momentum following a dominant 198-93 victory over I-25 rival New Mexico, their second win over the Lobos this season.

Last season, the Aggies also set six new school records and finished on the podium in nine events except for first place in the exhibition team diving event.
Event schedule
The championship competition will consist of a total of 21 events, including 16 individual events. On Wednesday, the program will compete in the 3-meter diving, 200-yard medley relay, and 800-yard free relay. On the second day of competition, the 1-meter diving, 200-meter free relay, 500-meter free, 200-meter IM, and 50-meter free will be held. Friday's list of events includes the 400 IM, 100 butterfly, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back and 400 medley relay. The final day of the event will feature the 1650 free, 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, and the team will conclude the championship with his 400 free relay.
