On Friday, a video of Bollywood actor Urvashi Rautela being asked tough questions about Indian cricket team star Rishabh Pant and Pakistan bowler Naseem Shah went viral on social media. The questions ranged from marriage to unrequited love. The actor appeared very awkward while answering questions and gave very short replies. When Pant suffered from severe stomach acid last year, Rautela called him the “pride of India” and wished him a speedy recovery.
In the viral video, the conversation went like this:
“There is a comment that says, 'Rishabh Pant respects you a lot. We will be happy if you marry him,'” the anchor asked.
“No comment,” the actor replied.
He was then asked about Pakistan bowler Naseem Shah's choice of hashtags. Urvashi replied, “#Bowler.”
The anchor said that the bowler is very popular in India and Pakistan due to his good looks. To this, Urvashi Rautela replied, “As long as he does his job, he is fine.”
The anchor also said that he is quite “aspirational” among girls. To which the actor simply smiled and replied, “Yes.”
Rishabh Pant was recently selected in the squad for the T20 World Cup. Sanju Samson is the first choice wicketkeeper but was chosen as the second wicketkeeper. BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar said on Thursday that the reason why KL Rahul missed out on the India squad was because the Indian team was looking for a “player” who could bat in the middle, and Sanju as the team's second wicketkeeper.・He stated that the path has been opened for the appointment of Samson.
“KL is a great player. What we were looking for was a player who can bat in the middle order and at the moment KL is a top batsman. We feel Sanju (Samson) has the ability to move down the order if necessary. “Rishabh'' (Pant) is batting at number five, that's what I was thinking instead.
“It wasn't about whether KL was better or whether they were better. It was about the slots we needed (to fill), and at this point, are these two more capable or inning better? I felt like we had spent some time towards the second half of the season, which we might need in the World Cup,'' Agarkar said.
